The Brief

The baby monitor category is quite a crowded one, with many players in the field. Which makes it quite difficult to stand out if you’re a startup – despite the fact that you might have one of the smartest, most feature-packed products on the market. 


Enter Bluebell Baby monitors. We were briefed to create a compelling and differentiating positioning for this relative newcomer to the market. Ultimately it had to underpin a campaign that genuinely connected with parents' concerns whilst promoting brand fame and creating a platform for tactical sales promotions.

It’s clever. It’s smart. It’s the Mother of all baby monitors. Bluebell Baby monitors has built one of the most comprehensive baby monitoring systems available. Not only does their product monitor more than most other competitors, it also comes jam-packed with features aimed at helping parents take the guesswork (and anxiety) out of raising a newborn baby.


We had to translate this reality into a sentiment that truly resonated with parents, who needed the assurance that they could rely on a product such as Bluebell. And so “The Mother of All Baby Monitors” campaign was born!

Real parenthood AKA the ultimate product test. Like babies, parents are uniquely different – especially in terms of their parenting styles. They have varying needs. For instance, there are parents that are highly anxious about the safety of their children when they can’t be in the same room. Then there are those who need help maintaining a routine, in order to simply get some sleep for themselves.

Whatever the situation, Bluebell Baby Monitors are more than ready than most to tackle these various real-life parenting challenges. So we echoed these through a series of highly recognisable scenarios.

Bringing the lighter side of parenting to life. Armed with a slew of smart, relevant messages for “The Mother of All Baby Monitors” campaign, we felt that we needed to express these in a humorous manner and in a style parents could identify with.
